Danish Business Angel 2019
In 2019, Torben received the award as Denmark’s best Business Angel – a title he received because he had managed to increase revenue in a number of companies so significantly in a short time that it was beyond comparison. For example, he managed to 22-fold his investment in MIR in just a few years, and at E-conomic he managed to go from 10,000 to 110,000 customers in the company’s accounting program.
One of the things that stands out about Torben’s leadership is that he is able to change the mindset of the companies he enters, and he is good at focusing on what adds value. In his acceptance speech when he received the award, he said: “It takes the right people to lead a company for it to be successful, and there also needs to be a greater purpose to what the company produces”.
