Danish robotics company launches new solution and targets a new market

Over the past year, robotics company Robot at Work has worked hard to carve out its place in the construction industry. Originally, the company started by developing robots aimed at easing physically demanding tasks on construction sites—but they quickly realized that this type of work is difficult to replace with robotics.

Instead, their robotic solution is a perfect fit for producing prefabricated elements for large, established players in the market. The products are standardized, everything operates at scale, and these companies are used to investing in production technology. It’s a perfect match.

This significant strategic shift has cost the company a great deal financially, ending with a loss in 2021. In the fall, Chairman of the Board and investor Torben Frigaard purchased shares in the company and injected additional funding, which has helped the company secure its first million-level customers.

In June, two new investors joined—set to truly power the growth journey that Robot at Work is now embarking on.
